We have a long tradition of playing at the Stonehaven Fireballs Ceremony, warming the crowd up prior to the bells ringing at midnight and the start of the procession. A few years ago a couple of our members broke with tradition and marched down in front of the fireballs, and this has continued every year since. This is probably the only time you'll hear "Scotland the Brave" played at 150 bpm!
We are also supporters of Stonehaven's unique open air pool and often play at the opening cermony. We share this honour with the boys and girls of Lathallan School Pipe Band, who in the past have also led the opeing ceremony. For the 2008 opening we were grateful to receive the support of the Lathallan drummers.
For quailty music, we recommend Radio Scotland and in particular, Pipeline is dedicated to our art.
Doug Wickstrom's site has the free Bagpipe Player Software needed to play BMW (Bagpipe Music Writer) files. You'll need this to play some of the tunes on our music page.
